What Kenyans said about the new Safaricom bundle package
Digital taxi drivers have been facing challenges in their daily operations, resulting from limited data bundles and a lack of airtime to contact their clients.
Victor, a digital taxi driver based in Nairobi, told News 9 Kenya that the new bundle package comes as a solution to his daily operations.
“With this package, I can now do my work without worry. I used to switch off my mobile data during rides, soon after picking a customer just to save them. But now, with the data on throught the trip, I can pick other rides on reaching the trip destination,” said Victor.
Other Kenyans questioned the need for the bundle:
Dennis Menon asked:
@Noordermee93756 wondered:
“This bundle seems packed with value beyond data, but how does it truly impact the daily hustler’s bottom line?”
Reginald Cullens raised concerns over B-Live bundles:
“B live data 1 HR after downloading 2-3 GB speed inakatika hadi 500kbs andikeni 3 GB for 20 bob badala ya kucap internet speed.”
Meanwhile, Safaricom launched B-Live mobile data bundle, allowing customers to pay based on the time spent on the internet as opposed to bundles used.
