Premier League referees and assistants are now free to take
charge of the return match to finish the 2019/20 season that was halted due to
the Covid-19 outbreak.
This comes after their test results for coronavirus turned
out positive.
They were tested at their nearest top-flight club this week with
directives to have those testing positive for the virus to stay away for the
remaining part of the campaign.
Daily Mail report that referees Michael Oliver and Mike Dean
have maintained fitness from home during lockdown and monitored by GPS tracking
devices.
Meanwhile, Stockley Park will still be used as VAR headquarters
when the season resumes.
All visual-replay operators will also be tested for Covid-19
before being used at Stockley Park.
The Premier League returns on June 17, as Aston Villa host
Sheffield United, while Arsenal travel to Etihad to face Pep Guardiola’s side
Manchester City.
