Greek Football club Olympiakos has dismissed coronavirus
claims, saying that all its players, board members and staff that were tested
for coronavirus had returned negative results.

This follows the postponement of the Manchester City’s
Premier League match against Arsenal, which was scheduled on Wednesday, as a
“precautionary measure” following COVID-19 spread.

Reports show that several Gunners players are in
self-isolation after their Europa League match with Olympiakos, Arsenal
confirming saying a number of its players met with Olympiakos owner Evangelos
Marinakis, who contracted coronavirus.

Marinakis, 52, who also owns Championship side Nottingham
Forest, confirmed on Tuesday that he had tested positive for Covid-19.

Olympiakos will host Wolves in the Europa League on Thursday
after Uefa rejected Wolves’ request for the last-16 first-leg match to be
postponed.

The Premier League has no plans to postpone any other
matches and confirms “all necessary measures are being taken”.

The match between Brighton and Arsenal will go as scheduled
on Saturday.

“The risk is considered extremely low with the
self-isolation period for those players ending on Thursday,”

The UK has recorded about 382 cases of the virus, amongst
being the health Minister, with six deaths since the coronavirus outbreak.
