Gor Mahia v Petro Atletico: What you need to know about the squad, match

Gor Mahia head coach Hassan Oktay has named his 18-man squad to battle Angolan side Petro Atletico at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasaran on Sunday.

The clash will be a determinant factor in the CAF Confederation Cup final Group ā€˜D’ matches, which will see K’Ogalo qualify or be bundled out of the quarter finals.

OKtay left out Dennis Oliech, Mustafa and George Othiambo to the reserve bench, kicking the attack by Jacques Tuyisenge and Nicholas Kipkirui.

His defence force will be led by Philemon Otieno, Shafik Batambuze, Haron Shakava and Charles Momanyi.

Gor Mahia Starting XI; Peter Odhiambo, Philomon Otieno, Shafik Batumbuze, Haron Shakava, Charles Momanyi, Ernest Wendo, Boniface Omondi, Lawrence Juma, Jacques Tuyisenge, Nicholas Kipkirui and Francis Kahata.

The reserve bench has Shaban Odhoji, Joachim Oluoch, Geoffrey Ochieng, Francis Mustafa, George Berry, Dennis Oliech and Erissa Sseskisambu.

K’Ogalo are set to win this match since its their only hope to secure the CAF Confederation Cup quarter finals for the first time.

Zamalek are on top of the group with 8 points and a draw with Hussein Dey, who have 7 points, will secure their qualification.

Gor, who are placed last in the group with 6 points, needs victory on Sunday to jump to nine points.

The winner of the finals will walk away with Sh 38 million.
