Kenya suffered a 1-0 defeat away in Accra on Saturday’s final match of the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
The debuting striker Caleb Ekuban earned Ghana three points victory over Kenya at the Accra Sports Stadium, sending them to the AfCON finals with 2 points ahead second placed Kenya in group F.
First half had few chances for both sides, with the Black Stars giving a try at the 24 and 36 minute, following Harambee Stars Patrick Matasi blockage.
The second half also proved chances for both sides, but the 82nd minute score from Caleb Ekuban broke the deadlock.
Meanwhile, Ghana and Kenya had earlier qualified for CAF quarter finals to be held in Egypt and this was just a curtain raiser match to determine the leader of the group.
