A three-time Boston Marathon champion Ibrahim Hussein is the man behind organising thrilling cross-country experiences with the support of residents in the area.
The event attracts local and international professional athletes and features junior and senior categories. Kenya is known globally for producing champions in athletics.

World 10,000m silver medallist Daniel Simiu Ebenyo and Emmaculate Anyango emerged victorious at the Sirikwa Classic World Cross Country Tour that took place in Uasin Gishu on Saturday.
This year’s Sirikwa Classic World Cross Country Tour-Gold was graced by international athletes as well, including Ukrainian 5,000m national champion Maryna Nemchenko, Germany’s Hendrik Pfeiffer, Romania’s Stefan Gravril, and Tanzania’s John Nahhay and Grace Jackson Charles.
