Kisii, Kenya – South Mugirango Member of Parliament (MP) Silvanus Osoro is taking another turn in what has turned out to be a political battle between him and Kisii Governor Simba Arati
Recently, the two luminary leaders hit headlines following a push and a pull in between them something which even led to the Kisii residence holding a demonstration on Monday, January 15.
Arati, not once or twice has seriously condemned Osoro, alleging he is the mastermind of a series of chaos in three events which turned ugly after a serious attack meted on him, leaving other lives claimed and countless injured.
However, the South Mugirango lawmaker has not taken a chill back on Simba’s sentiments saying the Governor is overwhelmingly tarnishing his reputation something which he must file a case in court for defamation immediately after the ongoing investigation is concluded by the police and relevant authorities.
“The incidents that have occurred have nothing to do with me. If there is anyone to blame it is Arati himself . I will report him for slander,” said Osoro, on Tuesday, January 16.
Simba Arati wants government to arrest Osoro
Governor Arati is wondering why the police have taken a long time to bring the MP to book for his reprehensible and intolerable moves.
“If you look at this MP in Mumias called Salasya when he slaps someone he is arrested immediately. Is Osoro above the law? Who is he? That is the question I would want to ask,” asked Arati.
He said that the series of nasty occurrences in Kisii County would have called for President Ruto’s address. He said he is yet to come to terms with why the National Government decided to give it a deaf.
The Governor said that he trust his feelings that the regime could be a contributing factor leading to melee in Kisii so that his five-year tenure is thwarted.
“I do not blame Osoro I blame those working under the President who have said that I can not work for five years,” he pointed out.
He added that there are numbers of DCI, NIS and other officers who are being frightened whereas others have been transferred and the role of County Commander has been taken by MP Osoro so that whatever he discusses with President William Ruto to be rendered poor.
He said that relegation of corruption in the County of Kisii, by not awarding imaginary tenders to some individuals, as one of his main objectives, is the backbone of the eruption of chaos in Kisii as those individuals are immune to the fight against corruption.
