According to
the police statement recorded at the Nyatieko Police Station, Kitutu Central
Sub County, the seven have been taken to Kisii Medical Training College (KMTC),
where they will spend the next 14 days in quarantine.

They will
also be tested for COVID-19.

The police
recovered beer and bottles and held it as exhibit in the raid, awaiting further
action.

The government
directed those found violating curfew orders to be taken into forceful quarantine
at their own cost.

Several
people have been caught on the wrong side ending up being forced to quarantine
and test for the virus

President
Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday announced an extension of curfew period for further
