The tongue does a lot of damaged if not tamed well. Bishop
James Maina Ng’ang’a has been arrested for threatening Citizen TV’s anchor
Linus Kaikai.
Ng’ang’a was angered by a comment Kaikai made that pastors
need have academic qualifications to run churches.
The anchor said, “Former Attorney General, Githu Mwigai proposed
regulations that among other rules required preachers to submit certificates of
good conduct and their theological training certificates so as to be licensed
to run churches.
These are the rules Kenya must revisit in order to restore sanity
in the peaching enterprise they call it.”
The bishop’s anger led him to respond saying, “Kwanza nashukuru wale ambao hawajui kusoma
kwa sababu mbinguni hatuendi na masomo. Hakuna degree itapima milango ya mbinguni…”
He added“… I am telling you like a Chief General Commander, you have to stop that. Kama
umeingia line ya Ng’ang’a, my friend you will face the consequences. I can’t
hide you but you can hide me. Wewe utakimbia tu.”
Nganga’s arrest was accelerated by the fact that he posted a
video on Facebook addressing Kaikai’s comment on live television during Kaikai’s
Kicker segment on the News Gang show.
Officers from the Directorate of Criminal
investigation picked him up on Sunday.
