Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich will know his fate after he spent 2 days at the DCI headquarters being grilled over the Kerio Valley dam dcandal on Elgeyo Marakwet.
Reports shows that the CS responded to 301 years no questions over the stalled Arror and Kamwarer dams, before giving full details to the matter.
301 questions
About 152 questions were posted to him (Rotich) on Tuesday, forming part of the more than 200 page range probe that was completed on Wednesday.
The grilling report is now with the Director of Public Prosecutions George Kinoti, who will then decide the fate of the CS and several other senior officials from Treasury, Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA) and a number of suppliers.
Among the questions that the CS was asked is why billions of shillings were paid to an Italian firm before the two projects commenced.
He was also questioned on the signing off of the projects with a company that is now grappling with financial constraints.
Rotich was questioned on how and why payments were made without project designs, bill of quantity and due diligence.
The CS was also required to give response as to why the National Environment Management Authority reports and public participation in the projects was missing.
This is the third time Rotich is appearing before the team investigating claims of fraud in the two projects.
