Investigations into the murder of lawyer Robert Chesang are in progress even as the police detain four suspects in connection to the case.
Among the key suspects is Senior Resident Magistrate Maisy Chesang, who will stay in custody for nine days.
The Nyeri Magistrate, wife to late Chesang, and other three police officers were arraigned at the Mavoko Law Courts on Monday morning.
The officers are Sergeant Richard Lorunyei Moru of Riruta Police Station, Lawrence Lempesi and Peter Mbithi who is attached to the Mutuine post.
Police report indicates that Lawrence Lempesi, a retired senior police officer in Baragoi in Samburu, was arrested in Baragoi on Saturday.
The lawyer was shot and killed by gunmen who raided his house at Moke Gardens in broad daylight on February 17.
The Law Society of Kenya called on the DCI to haste the investigation.
