As the world continues to fight the spread and effect of
Coronavirus, Kenya has 11 new confirmed cases of the disease, which raises the number
of infections in the country to 208.
Speaking during the daily briefings of the Ministry of
Health, Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe revealed that in the last 24 hours, 674
samples have been tested and 11 have turned out positive.
Out of the 11, seven are Kenyans while four have a travel history
from the United Arab Emirates.
About the distribution of cases, four are from Mandera, three
from Mombasa, two from Nairobi, and Nakuru has one. Out of the 11, four are from
the mandatory quarantine centres while seven are from contact tracing.
However, Kenya has reported 15 new recoveries, bringing the
total to 40 but one Covid-19 patient has died in Nairobi raising the death toll
to 9.
