Billionaire Manu Chandaria has made official his marriage to Aruna
Chandaria at the chambers of the Attorney General in Nairobi.
Manu, 90 has been married to Aruna, 85 for 64years after
wedding in a customary Hindu marriage.
In 2017, the then Attorney General Githu Muigai issued a
gazette notice requiring all individuals married under the customary marriage
to register their marriages at the AG’s office at Sheria House, upon which a
marriage certificate would be issued.
“All parties married under African customary law are
required to register their marriages,” the AG said in a June 9,2107
Gazette notice.
Before thee notice, marriage certificates were issued to
couples who got married through civil, Christian, and Islamic marriages only.
Chandaria has in the past revealed that he own five suits only.
