32 Kenyans are among the 157 people killed in the Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX crashed on Sunday Morning.
The deceased were 149 passengers and eight crew members.
Boeing was on its way to
Kenya from Addis Ababa when it crashed six minutes after taking off from Bole International
Airport.
President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto, Raila
Odinga, and Ethiopian Prime Minister Aby Ahmed are among the many personalities
who have sent condolence messages to the families of those who were on board on
the fateful Sunday morning.
Through his Twitter handle @UKenyatta he said, “We are
saddened by the news of an Ethiopian Airlines Passenger aircraft that is reported
to have crashed 6minutes after takeoff en route to Kenya. My prayers go to the
families and associates of those on board.”
The deceased include 32 Kenyans, nine Ethiopians, eight Americans,
seven French, Five Dutch, and four Indians.
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyau has confirmed that among the deceased were five Israelites and “our hearts goes with those affected.”
