Ousted Sudan ex-president Omar Al-Bashir has been transferred
to Kobar Maximum Prison.
Bashir had been detained at the presidential residence under
heavy security before he was move to prison.
This comes after months of protest in the country that
resulted in the coup that removed Bashir from office.
The International
Criminal Court (ICC) has already issued an arrest warrant for the ex-president
but Uganda is offering to give him asylum despite being a member of ICC.
Al-Bashir is accused of perpetrating war crimes and crimes
against humanity in Sudan’s western Darfur region.
