Nairobi, Kenya– Doosan Construction Equipment has rebranded and transformed into Develon.
The move marked a significant milestone in the company’s history, conveying the brand’s commitment to ‘Develop Onward’, bringing in innovative solutions for exceptional equipment and services to customers.
The event attracted various leaders, stakeholders, partners, and esteemed guests in the field of construction.
General Manager of Car & General Trading Limited, Srinivas Devarakonda, said the transformation shows the company’s commitment to technological innovation for sustainable service.

Car & General Trading Limited, a subsidiary of Car & General Kenya PLC, a company listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange since 1950 has been the dealer of DEVELON equipment in East Africa since 2013.
What customers should expect from Develon?
The company holds franchises for other world-class products including TVS motorcycles, Cummins power generators, Piaggio three-wheelers, Toyota forklifts, and Kubota tractors, among others.
“Develon is under Korea’s conglomerate HD Hyundai group which is the 9th largest company in Korea. The company is growing fast as demonstrated by the growth in revenue- with 2020 as the year that the company recorded revenue of USD 60 billion (KSh 9.2 trillion in a year.
“Develon falls under one of the three pillars of the HD Hyundai group business, which is construction equipment. The brand has changed its name from Doosan to Develon, but it remains the same and maintains the high quality as promised to our customers, as they are the key drivers of our growth.
