There are 47.56M Kenyans according to the 2019 Census Survey conducted in the month of August, between 24th and 30th.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is yet to receive the population census results, after a period of three month.
This is the first population census to be conducted electronically, will remain confidential as provided for by the Statistics Act 2006.
According to Trasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yattani, the government has established 129,123 enumeration areas with each having an average of 100 households during the exercise.
A population census helps the country in its economic planning and budget allocation.
