NASA in Bomet: Key issues discussed at the rally

The National Super Alliance (NASA) let by its presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga was in Rift Valley on Saturday in a vote hunting mission at Bomet green stadium, Bomet County.

The brigade touched on a number of issues that faulted President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto tenure at the State Hoiuse.

`Good and bad Ruto'

Among the key issues at the rally was the crowning of Bomet governor Isaac Ruto as the Kipsigis kingpin by the clan association members.

NASA praised Isaac calling him the good Ruto that the Kalenjin community should listen to, faulting the deputy president as the bad Ruto who will lead them nowhere in the 2022 succession politics.

The folding up of URP by the Deputy President to form Jubilee Party had made it a healthy ground for the people of Rift Valley to enroll with Governor Rutos Chama Cha Mashinani party, said Raila Odinga.


Mr. Odinga added that corruption has thrived in the country as a result of bad governance and leadership experienced from the Jubilee government.

He accused Jubilee for increasing debts rate that has increased the cost of living, which has given the country a huge loan burden to handle.

We know of the NYS scandal...they (Jubilee) have planted the former devolution CS Anne Waiguru, a chief agent of the NYS scam, to vie for the Kirinyaga governorship seat on a Jubilee ticket. We should not allow them more room to loot us, he said.He added that NASA will ensure equality among all Kenyans and will start offering free secondary education from September, if they assume office.

In the caravan was his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka, other co-principals Isaac Ruto, Senator Moses Wetang'ula and Mr Musalia Mudavadi, Mombasa governor Hassan Joho among others.
