McDonald Mariga sign deal with Spanish side Real Oviedo

Kenya offensive midfielder McDonald Mariga Wanyama has join Spanish second tier side Real Oviedo on a one-year contract.

The deal was confirmed with the club official website www.realoviedo.es on Monday. This is after a successful medical taste. Mariga will join training immediately under Juan Antonio Anguela in order to get fit for the season premier.

Mariga missed to play for English Premier League side Manchester City in 2010 after failing to get a UK work permit. Which he only obtain after the transfer window closes.

Mariga biggest moment came later when the center midfielder was signed to Italian side Inter on 1 February 2010 the last day of transfer window from Parma in a co-onwnership deal.

 In March 2010 Mariga became the first Kenya to play in the UEFA Champions League as a late substitute against Chelsea.
