Kenya will play Zambia on Thursday for the third placed
clash at the ongoing Copa Coca Cola Africa 2019 under-16 championship finals at
the Mpesa Foundation Academy grounds in Thika.
This is after the young stars were bundled out of the finals
by rival Tanzania, in penalty shootout that saw Kenya suffer a 5-4 defeat after
a barren draw at the 90 minutes.
Zambia were also shoved off by rivals Zimbabwe after a 2-2
draw at the 90 minutes of the match, leading to a penalty shootout that
displaced Zambia by 4-3 score.
The final match will be played between Tanzania and Zimbabwe
at the same ground, after a clash between Kenya and Zambia, which will
determine the third best team.
This will be the first time for the Southern Africans after
they failed to go beyond the group stages in the inaugural edition played last
year.
The match will be played at 12 pm EAT.
Kenya played the Copa Coca Cola Africa cup finals in 2018
and emerged the winner.
The tournament attracted 10 countries drawn from different
football associations in the continent.
